Opening Night presented by Kenda Tires welcomes fans back to The Q to see the Cavs vs. the Brooklyn Nets in the first game of the regular season on Wednesday, October 30th at 7:00 p.m. The high energy action on the floor, fueled by the award-winning game presentation, will set the tone for all the fun to come in 2013-14.
In celebration of the home opener, all fans will receive a Cavaliers 2013-14 magnet schedule presented by Kenda Tires and a Cavs t-shirt compliments of Cleveland Clinic.
Opening night will roll out all the hoopla that creates the well-known electric atmosphere inside The Q starting with the premiere of the new Cleveland-centric player introduction video to welcome the 2013-14 squad onto the court for the first time in front of the hometown crowd. In-arena hosts Ahmaad and Nicole are back to keep the fun and energy going along with Cavalier Girls and Scream Team performances— and of course, the antics of mascots Moondog and Sir C.C. to keep everyone on their toes.
The Cavs start a brand new season with the promise to continue to deliver the best fan experience in the NBA. Former “Star Search” Grand Champion Nita Whitaker will sing the national anthem and Street Corner Symphony, an a capella group from the second season of NBC’s “The Sing Off,” will perform at halftime. Throughout the season fans can expect an impressive lineup of halftime acts and national anthem singers, great video features, on-court promotions, and interactive contests and games.
The home opener is Halloween eve and doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for fans to enjoy the “spooktacular” fun and activities for the whole family on The Q’s concourses!
