JOB SUMMARY

The Customer Service/Sales Marketing Assistant position is often the first point of contact for Kenda customers.  Professional demeanor, patience and problem solving skills are all critical in this position.  The sales and marketing aspect of the position is crucial as a support tool that allows the other members of the team to execute department goals and strategies.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES- CUSTOMER SERVICE

  •   Support customers via telephone and email to ensure customer satisfaction.
  •   Answer telephone calls, convey messages, and monitor the flow of e-mail.
  •   Take warranty claims, monitor and record warranty problems, issue call tags as required and place orders for warranty replacement product.
  •   Answer routine product questions and direct non-routine questions to appropriate personnel when necessary.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES- SALES/MARKETING ASSISTANT

  •   Direct sales leads to the appropriate personnel for follow up.
  •   With guidance from Sales Management, monitor production inventories and place orders with Purchasing as needed.
  •   Monitor company-related social media contacts and presence as directed by Marketing Management
  •   Upon request from Sales and Marketing Management, place sample orders for customers, athletes and test riders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  •   Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  •   Customer service skills
  •   Ability to process computer data, format, and generate reports
  •   Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •   Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned duties
  •   Self-motivated, organized, and manages time effectively
  •   Excellent attention to detail
  •   Ability to work in a team

WORKING ENVIRONMENTS

Work is usually performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Periodically the job will require warehouse work for stock checking, inventory, storage maintenance, etc.  Some business travel may be required.
